Is Your Headshot Costing You Clients?

Your headshot speaks before you do. In today’s digital-first business world, potential clients are making decisions about you before you even know they’re looking. Whether it’s LinkedIn, your website, or professional profiles, your headshot is silently building trust – or costing you opportunities.

Join successful professionals who’ve transformed their digital presence with headshots that connect and convert.

The Reality Check

Are you losing opportunities because of:

An outdated headshot that makes prospects question your current relevance

A casual photo that undermines your premium pricing

A LinkedIn profile that creates disconnect at in-person meetings

A smartphone selfie that signals lack of personal investment

Common Questions About Professional Headshots

Your phone can take a sharp photo. What it can’t do is control light, guide your expression, choose the right angle for your face, or make you look like someone worth hiring. A professional headshot isn’t just about resolution — it’s about the deliberate choices made before, during, and after the shutter clicks. The posing, the lighting setup, the coaching on expression — these are what separate a headshot that builds credibility from one that quietly undermines it. Prospects make snap judgments in seconds. Your headshot is often the first thing they see on LinkedIn, your website, or a conference program. It should be working for you, not against you.

After your session, you’ll select from the best images captured. The packages are structured around how many final, fully edited images you walk away with — 1, 5, 10, or 15. During your selection, I’ll help you identify which images hit the right balance of confidence and approachability for your specific platforms and positioning. Most clients are surprised by how many strong options they have to choose from.

Wear what you’d wear to meet your best client. If you’re a financial advisor who shows up to client meetings in a suit, wear the suit. If you’re a consultant who works in smart casual, wear that. The goal is for someone to meet you in person and immediately recognize you from your headshot — not wonder if they’re talking to the right person. Avoid busy patterns, overly bright colors, or anything that would distract from your face. Solid colors and classic cuts photograph best. If you’re unsure, bring two or three options and we’ll decide together at the session.

Sessions run 1–2 hours. That includes getting comfortable in front of the camera, trying different expressions and angles, and making sure we capture images that work across every platform where your clients find you — LinkedIn, your website, email signature, conference materials. Most people are nervous at the start and relaxed by the end. That’s by design.

That’s the most common thing I hear. The reason most people hate their headshots is that nobody coached them. They sat in a chair, someone said “say cheese,” and the result felt stiff and awkward — because it was. My sessions are guided. I’ll direct your posture, your expression, where your eyes land, and exactly when to shift. You don’t need to know how to pose. That’s my job. By the end of the session, most clients tell me it was nothing like what they expected.

Yes. Every delivered image is professionally retouched — skin smoothing, blemish removal, and color correction. The goal is to make you look like the best version of yourself on a great day, not a different person entirely. Prospects should recognize you when they meet you in person.

The session fee is $190 and covers 1–2 hours of shooting time. From there, you choose how many final images you need:

  • 1 image: $195
  • 5 images: $890 (saves $85)
  • 10 images: $1,690 (saves $260)
  • 15 images: $2,490 (saves $435)

Most professionals working across multiple platforms find the 5-image package hits the right balance — enough variety for LinkedIn, your website, and email, without paying for images you won’t use.

Sessions are available throughout Bucks County. We can shoot at your office or workspace, or I can recommend locations that work for your brand and positioning. Location scouting is part of the process — the background of your headshot matters as much as what’s in the foreground.
